The Smart Television Alliance is a coalition of national nonprofit organizations united by a shared commitment to improving what our nation’s children see on television. We believe television can be a smart family resource IF parents and caregivers know how and when to put it to good use.
Our Mission
We’re about giving parents simple tools to make smart choices about what their kids are watching on TV. We’ll lead you to smart picks chosen by our established media recommendation partners and help you find and use the technology so your family can watch Smart TV on your time.
Our Goals
We want to be a gathering place for parents and kids to find and share information about shows worth tuning in or tuning out.
Our goal is to make things simple – helping parents easily find television programming that isn’t a waste of time, but can expand kids’ learning, inspire new thinking or provide some fun – without the dumb.
Channel surfing and rushing around to catch your families’ favorite programs have become a way of the past. It’s time to take your television watching, and your parenting into the 21st century.
